Most recent Thunderbird version?

Where do I find the mist recent version of Thunderbird for Slackware 14.2 (64-bit), and how do I go about installing it? And for that matter, Why can't I find it at Slackbuilds.org?

You can't find it at slackbuilds.org because that's a repository for software not already included with Slackware. The most recent version of Thunderbird is included by default with Slackware 14.2 if you keep your system updated.

On the contrary, the most recent version of Thunderbird that I have is 52.2.1, and the one after that, according to Thunderbird's own website is 52.4.0.

So how do I go about installing it?

thunderbird has been updated to that version in the 14.2 repository since october 7th, see the ChangeLog
Code:
Sat Oct 7 02:53:31 UTC 2017
patches/packages/mozilla-thunderbird-52.4.0-x86_64-1_slack14.2.txz: Upgraded.
  This is a bugfix release.
maybe you should update your system using a different mirror, it might be the one you use is stuck at some time before.

I am running 14.2 with all patches applied. The version of Thunderbird on my system is 52.4.0 (which happens to match the version at the thunderbird website; that's not always guaranteed, but you asked for the "mist [sic] recent version of Thunderbird for Slackware 14.2" anyway, so the point is moot).

If you want to know how to install the latest update for Slackware 14.2 (which is what you asked for), then learn how to update Slackware. Here, I'll give you a hand:

Code:
slackpkg update
slackpkg upgrade-all
