I had the same Mozilla problem after installing mono 1.1.15 on Slackware 10.2 using Linux Installer for x86. After I fixed it now I see this:

The assembly mscorlib.dll was not found or could not be loaded.
It should have been installed in the `/usr/lib/mono/1.0/mscorlib.dll' directory.

There is no such directory /usr/lib/mono. How can I fix this?

Do you have mono-tools installed?

I used Linux Installer for x86 (All distributions).

Somehow you installer didn't make full installation. Here is my mscorlib: http://alien.inc.md/slackpacks/mscorlib.dll. Get it and check if it helps.
