modifying startup

First of all hi everyone! I've been reading this forum for a while and found many solutions for my doubts so I'm already very thankful

Now I'm writing because I wasn't able to find a solution for some issues I'm having even after some hours of googleing and trying...

I'm running on a slack64 for my home router and some servers as dhcp, dns, http+php+mysql, ftp, ssh, game servers, samba and some other stuff. Everything works great, i really like this new slack64

But, when I reboot the system, I have to login to run "dhcpd", "pppoe-start" and "/etc/rc.d/rc.firehol start".

How can I setup this to run every time the system boots?

My friends insist I should install another "easier" distro but there's no way I'm changing it because of this! :P

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi deleb and welcome to LQ..

The last script called before login is /etc/rc.d/rc.local. Put anything you want to run in there and it will run just before login.

I don't think it's a case of there being an "easy" distro when you are running services like you are, anyway ! Slackware, however, is logical and configurable so stick with it !

as far as the dhcpd thing, you might want to look at the /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf file.

I totally agree! That's why I'm using and loving it, I used the "" because there were not my words :P

mattydee, why do you tell me to look at the rc.inet1.conf?
I run "dhcpd" to start de dhcp server for the network...

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were trying to do. I thought I read "dhcpcd".
