missing icons after gnome Slackbuild install then remove

After experimenting with Gnome SlackBuild (gsb) I now have missing icons after removing all *gsb.txz packages. I have re-installed slackware 13.0 packages advised on mirror SLACKWARE-13.0_REPLACED_PACKAGES.TXT

I have re-installed gnome-extra [gnome-icon-theme-2.26.0-i486-1
] from Slackware 13.0 DVD ISO
Restart - but still missing icons for xfce4-mixer in panel and power (
terminal output:
Code:
(xfce4-settings-manager:3306): Gtk-WARNING **: could not load image: Icon 'gpm-ac-adapter' not present in theme
) icon in xfce4-settings-manager

Any pointers to the .png (I assume its .png, .svg, maybe .xpm, though I doubt) used would be appreciated forum!

Also icons are missing for all users & root so I do not think it is a user/.local gtk theme link.

Also changes to different icon themes (in Xfce desktop) makes no difference.

gnome-icon-theme-2.30.2-x86_64-1: ac-adapter.png
xfce4-power-manager-0.8.5-x86_64-1: xfpm-ac-adapter.svg

I omitted, I am am currently using Slackware 13.0 - I should really install 13.1 - but in the interests of pushing this forum forward any answers, feel free to share!

Code:
david@slackware13:~$ locate ac-adapter.png
/usr/share/icons/Xquisite/scalable/apps/ex/gpm-ac-adapter.png
/root/kde4prefix/usr/share/icons/Xquisite/scalable/apps/ex/gpm-ac-adapter.png
david@slackware13:~$ locate xfpm-ac-adapter.svg
/usr/share/icons/Rodentia/small/symboliclinks/xfpm-ac-adapter.svg
/usr/share/icons/Rodentia/normal/symboliclinks/xfpm-ac-adapter.svg
/root/kde4prefix/usr/share/icons/Rodentia/small/symboliclinks/xfpm-ac-adapter.svg
/root/kde4prefix/usr/share/icons/Rodentia/normal/symboliclinks/xfpm-ac-adapter.svg
david@slackware13:~$

Try running these commands.
Code:
  rm /usr/share/icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache
  update-desktop-database -q /usr/share/applications
  update-mime-database /usr/share/mime

Solved by re-installing hicolor-icon-theme-0.10-noarch-5.txz
