Missing file after upgrading to latest version of "X"

After upgrading current to the latest X version, I cannot start X. The error message dialog is :

xshmfence.so.1: cannot open shared object file:No such file or directory

xinit: giving up

xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused

xinit: server error
I am using a Nvidia 32 bit proprietary driver. It recompiled with no problem.

Any ideas where to look first?

Thanks. That did the job. In fact, I had several other new packages that I never installed.
I'll know next time!

Before you update with a "slackpkg upgrade-all" you want to run "slackpkg install-new". This should check for the newly added packages so you don't get bit by this again.
