Has anyone else had problems with their MIME types using gnome-icon-theme? Since the last update to -current (gnome-icon-theme bumped up to 2.23.92) most of the MIME types seem to be broken while browsing the filesystem in Thunar. While a handful of them still work, most just come up as a blank page, which I know is a Thunar error indicating there is no icon associated with that particular MIME type.
The only icon theme with proper MIME associations on my system is currently the Rodent theme that comes with XFCE.
I have reinstalled gtk-icon-theme, hicolor-icon-theme, shared-mime-info, and even xfce, but the problem still persists. I have also tried manually updating the MIME and icon caches using the same commands that are in rc.M, but no help there either.

You say the rodent theme is correct, right?
Can you post some (small - use jpg) screenshots so I can see exactly what the problem is? I don't really use gui file managers much, so I want to be sure I know what's missing and what isnt. In other words, how about a shot from before and a shot from after? You should be able to "upgrade" to the 12.1 package of gnome-icon-theme to put things back the way they were.
The problem was a missing configure option for gnome-icon-theme, which caused the compatibility symlinks to not get generated. It was default to create them before, but it had become optional since the last version.
I notified Pat and it is fixed as of gnome-icon-theme-2.23.92-noarch-2.
