Migrating from OpenSuse to Slackware
 

I've got a bunch of people whom I am migrating from OpenSuse 10.1 to Slackware 12. So far everything is going well, except for one minor little annoyance: They are all used to Thunderbird opening all sorts of attachments in their "proper" programs, meaning Excel files in OO, PDF in Acrobat Reader and so on and so forth.

Is there a fast way to add all these applications to Thunderbird, or will I have to do it manually for each Slackware install?

Check in /usr/share/mime-info -- if the settings are system-wide, that's probably where OpenSuSE put them.
