Unhappy mc -e stooped working in 13.1 RC1

Hi guys,

I'm looking forward to see the new 13.1 Slackware release although I always stay -current.
Just a quick one I've found:
When the RC1 was announced the mc-20100509_git-i486-1 broke the standard use of
Code:
mc -e
is this going to be permanently repleaced by
Code:
mcedit
or a bug?

Cheers!

This has to be a bug. mc -e and mcedit should work the same and tfm still states that 'file' is an optional argument. Apparently someone goofed up twice - in the version of mc prior to this, it seems they made it mandatory because 'mc -e file' did work. (As does 'mcedit' with no arg.) In this latest version they made it worse because 'mc -e' produces a usage message while 'mc -e file' doesn't - it loads mc with no editor and no file. If they seriously meant to take out -e, it should be all the way out and any use of it should produce the usage message.

I'm a vim guy, myself, so this doesn't bother me (except in principle) but I would definitely report it as a bug - in the documentation if nothing else but, as I say, I'm sure it's a code bug.
