MATE: minor issue after recent upgrades

-current 64 fully upgraded. Don't know which upgrade that may have caused this but:
when right-clicking the mate menu button and choosing "Edit menus", I get a spinning wheel and then nothing.
When I open mate control center and click "Main menu", nothing happens
Tried rebuilding mate-menus from source with the mate slackbuild script, but no difference.
Everything else (at least all mate functions I normally use) works just fine.

No idea if that might be python-3.8 related, as I am not familiar with MATE; however, you can see (at least some) of the installed packages that might still be expecting python-3.7 with this:
Code:
grep python3.7 /var/log/packages/* | cut -d: -f1 | uniq

Thanks a lot. It was indeed python-3.8 related, after rebuilding mate's mozo package all is well. Running
Code:
grep python3.7 /var/log/packages/* | cut -d: -f1 | uniq
suggests that a few other packages also needs rebuilding.
