"Man page"-ERROR

While I try to invoke the manual page i get this error

"malloc:stringlib.c:135: assersion botched
malloc: block on free list clobbered"

And one more error while i try to reboot the system i get a message
"INIT: no more process left in this runlevel"
and my system gets frozen. I reboot my system by reset button.

Hard to say ... could be anything from a faulty RAM stick to
a botched library ...
