Making a Java Package for Slack 12
 
I've just installed the newest update to JRE (1.6.0.U2). It was a fairly straightforward process using the instructions on the website.

How is it possible to make a Slackware package from this? The installer is a bin file. I thought I'd try checkinstall, even though this is meant for creating a package from source, but it didn't work.

use the slackbuild

Grab the Slack build script, for the JRE, from the Source CD, or from the Web Site, and see how Pat does it.
