makefile to compile kernel?
where is it on 9.0? its not under the directory listed in kernel compile for noobs.

i go under /usr/src/linux there is only an rpm folder if i run that in run command i get could not run specified command. any ideas or more info i can give as to why?

You must have kernel sources installed. You can get it from kernel.org or here as a Slackware package...
Oh, yeah... it's not on the Slack 9 CD.
