LVM + Encryption + Custom Kernel

If I want to use a custom kernel for LVM and disk encryption without the need for an initrd what needs to be compiled into the kernel?

What you want is not possible. The initrd does not only contain kernel modules, it also contains scripts and binaries that allow you to unlock the encrypted partitions and mount them before Slackware's init takes over.
