LVM dev name changes on 13.1?

Just upgraded to 13.1. Reran lilo before rebooting, just to be sure, and got this output:

Quote:
root@solo:~# lilo
Warning: LBA32 addressing assumed
Warning: '/proc/partitions' does not match '/dev' directory structure.
Name change: '/dev/dm-0' -> '/dev/VolGroup00/data'
Warning: Name change: '/dev/dm-1' -> '/dev/VolGroup00/home'
Warning: Name change: '/dev/dm-2' -> '/dev/VolGroup00/opt'
Warning: Name change: '/dev/dm-3' -> '/dev/VolGroup00/usr'
Warning: Name change: '/dev/dm-4' -> '/dev/VolGroup00/var'
Added Linux *
6 warnings were issued.
Obviously a change to the way LVM devices are mapped, but didn't find anything in CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT that addresses this.

Currently, /dev/VolGroup00/name is linked to /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-name. Do I need to relink those devices to /dev/dm-N/name or /dev/dm-N before rebooting, or will it take of this automatically upon boot up?

Also, I have not yet removed the device-mapper package.

Any advice is welcome. I'm afraid to reboot my system. Thanks!

Yes, mine has done that for ages. It's nothing to worry about. The /dev/VolGroup00/ stuff are just symlinks to the /dev/dm-n devices. Shouldn't cause any issues.

Thanks for the quick response! My slackware 13.1 goodness is only a short reboot away!
