Lumina 1.1.0-p1 fails to start

Hey all,

After a 'slackpkg upgrade-all' Lumina suddenly stopped working on Slackware 14.2. When I try to start it using 'startx', I'm thrown back to the console more or less immediately.

I am using AlienBobs qt5 and Lumina packages. According to the logs it seems that Lumina fails to start lumina-fm with the following error:

Code:

This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb"
in "".

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, xcb.

Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I tried reinstalling qt5 and the Lumina package, which didn't help. I also tried to run lumina-fm and lumina-open from another window manager (fvwm2) and got exactly the mentioned error as I found in the logs.

I've got a full Slackware 14.2 install with some additional packages from AlienBob or Slackbuilds.

I really don't know where to start looking. I would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

if you use AlienBOB's qt5, then you should aware that it depends on libxkbcommon and libinput (for 5.7).

If you use my packages, it never hurts to check out the ChangeLog.txt of the repository first.
In your case,
Code:

+--------------------------+
Tue Nov 15 22:58:19 UTC 2016
lumina: updated to 1.1.0.p1.
This light Desktop Environment is built on Qt5.  Therefore it depends
on my qt5, libinput and libxkbcommon  packages.

Great, I thought I double checked whether I have all the dependencies installed, but libinput was actually missing. Thank you guys!

Eric, your lumina package has /etc in /usr ;)

Tsk... I will have to fix that, and also update my "checkpkg" script to catch this packaging error. Thanks for reporting.
