Low Performance in Half Life, winex and Slack9.0

had Anybody experienced Low performance on Frames Per Second? I got 10-25 fps in 640x480 ... In winxp i got a good fps rate :/

I got a PIII 750, 256 MB RAM Pc100 and a Geforce2 MX 32mb, Slack 9.0 and winex2.2.1,

There isnīt any problem with drivers or nothing, i try q3 with linux binaries and really kicks ass...
is there any tweak or config to get a better performance on winex with HL? i couldnīt find anyone on the regular HOW to Half Life on Linux...

Thx 4 teh help
