My installation of slack64 works very well about the last weeks with german keyboard, only set via Settings - Keyboard in xfce.
When I started the comp this morning the x-startup needs suddenlz a very long time and then I have a us-keyboard
although the german layout is set.
I have a look with

btw, when I login into X as root, then all is still working well with german keyboard layout.
