lost+found

My laptop just died spontaneously due to empty batteries so it automatically ran fsck when I booted it up again. It fixed a couple of things automatically, told me to run fsck manually and asked me to fix some more things - and now I have it up and running again with a file "#389507" in /lost+found.

Is there anything I'm supposed to do with this file?

Before I reinstalled Slack yesterday on an ext2-partition I had it up a while on reiserfs before and it didn't give me anything like this so I'm rather clueless...

that file is reclaimed data. it's there incase you want it. just have a look at it... but if you're not missing anything, i'd just let it go, not least because it's probably deleted data that's been found, or a piece of a file, which isn't going to be useful.

Ah I see, thanks! :)

Jeez I hate when things like that happen a day after installing an OS... even when there's nothing wrong at all I'll still end up having this feeling there might be something wrong - usually installing that thing all over again. ;)
