Lost Connection ?

I've been using my slackware for about 1 week and everything went smoothly. Now I got problem, my connection to my network often disconnected. So I have to restart my computer to get back in network.
As I can remember, I don't install any program or change any setting. Only last time I run /sbin/lilo so I can boot from my hardisk directly.
What should I check ?
Thanks.

What kind of "network connection" are
we looking at here? And why do you
think you need to reboot? :)

Cheers,

i use token ring lanstreamer. the problem i got is lost connection to internet.
my computer connect to server to get internet access. when i use computer, suddenly without any error, etc, my browser can't browse anymore. when i tried to ping to my server, all packets loss.
so there's nothing i can do instead restart my computer, and after that i can get to server again (internet).

Have you seen any inidcation of
what's going on in the logs?
/var/log/*
(check syslog, debug, messages)

Also, what changes did you make
since the original install?

Cheers,
Tink

ok, this is going worse. i can connect to internet for no more than 3 minutes. after that, i lost connection again (can't ping to server).
i have checked /var/log/syslog, and find suspicious line :
tr0 : unknown arb command
tr0 : srb timed out
tr0 : adapter transmitted soft error report mac frame.
i think the last one is the problem. can someone help me ?

I'm afraid your LAN Streamer might
be dieing ... it's coming of age, isn't it?
(older than 5 years?)

Either that, or the cables are worn...

Cheers,
Tink
