Looks like bind is pulling in json-c now by default.


Not sure if this was intended so take it as an FYI, if nothing else.

Latest package I got that showed json-c dependency:

bind-9.10.3_P3-x86_64-1.txz


I see the changelog of Wed Jan 13 00:01:23 UTC 2016 added json-c for pulseaudio.

Other distributions have /usr/sbin/named linked with json-c (also without an explicit option for ./configure enabling it).

I don't see a problem with using the libraries shipped with the OS.

I don't see a problem either now that I removed bind. Oh, the json statistics channel was added in mid 2013 and now it is a default.
