It's the only app that's not working for me so far...
Haven't try any games yet, though. With regards to alsa unaware applications, have you tryed aoss?

Yes I've tried aoss. I don't want to have to emulate sound, i want it to work normally.

Here is my .asoundrc

pcm.dsp0 {
type plug
slave.pcm "dmix"
# or:
# pcm.dsp0 pcm.default
# if "default" hasn't been redefined

ctl.mixer0 {
type hw
card 0

and my gxine config files are set to oss now so they will do you no good. Good luck on your alsa journey.

alsa update in current

Just a quick heads up: Slackware-current has been updated to Alsa 1.0.0rc2.

Does anyone know of a way to make WineX use dmixer? I want to be able to listen to audio commentaries for Warcraft 3 and I can't have both unless WineX uses dmixer.
