Linux on Mac
 

Hey ok Im a slacker myself but my friend wants to put linux on there PowerMac which is taking up space right now so i suggested putting linux on it....like why not?? so anyways i was doing some googleing and i checked out slackintosh and i seen that it didnt have any gui my friend doesnt know that much bout linux and just wanted to try it out and is there a more easy linux distro for the mac i heard about yellow dog but this mac is a PowerMac and i heard that it wont work on this or something is this true anyone know anything about this??? plz help me out with this i think it would be a good project for my friend and something for my to do and try to help them out whti this... I'm not sure, but Mandrake PPC or Gentoo would probably work on it.

I've a mate that uses yellow dog. It's solely for the PPC.
