As for my other two Issues here is my hardware setup.

is this a kernel upgrade?? did you make it yourself etc.. was everything else working with the previous kernel? and if so, what version was that? How are you accessing the internet.. dial up? LAN? wireless?

List a few more details and people will help

NOTE: This is the friend that help Tranquil setup slackware 10.1

I was running the bare kernel "2.4.*.*" from slackware and added the sound card and nic to the kernel. I then compiled and replaced the /boot files. Nic nor sound card worked. I also d/l kernel 2.6.11.10 and set everything up. The second kernel let me see the nic but slackware refuses to access the net. The Network is set up as dhcp. I ran netconfig and set things up correctly, still receiving no luck. The sound also refuses to work. Google is giving me little help. I know my set up is correct. If there is a specific file I need to look at, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Can anyone tell me where the file is with the settings for eth0 and eth1 in slackware? I believe eth1 is not set for dhcp. Eth1 is the needed nic. More than likely slack is trying to access net through eth0. That is most likely the prob with network.

NIC settings are in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf
