Linux loads very low speed

I have installed Slackware Linux, on my laptop. It is almost compatible with laptop. But there is a small problem.<br/>Loading the kernel takes much time about 30 sec. I mean when it shows the:

But on other systems takes less than 1s. How can I find the cause of this? And How can I resolve this problem? Is it possible for Linux to resolve this for the next kernel versions?

Also I experienced much more speed with Debian and Ubuntu. Of course they used Grub. I use the default Linux loader LILO.

My laptop model:

Toshiba satellite pro T-130
CPU: Core2Duo-1.3GHz-3M
Memory: 3G-DDR3

Hi,

Add the 'compact' option to your '/etc/lilo.conf' then run lilo as root to update;

from 'man lilo.conf';
compact
Tries to merge read requests for adjacent sectors into a single read request. This drastically reduces load time and keeps the map file
smaller. Using `compact' is especially recommended when booting using a map file on a floppy disk.
Be sure to look at Slackware Doc Project

Hope this helps!
