Linux Kernel 4.19.9 and amdgpu video cards

This is just a FYI

I upgraded my current box to 4.19.9 and on reboot my AMD Polaris11 video card failed to initialize. Firmware loading failure.
After I upgraded my firmware to kernel-firmware-20181214_813fa1f-noarch-1 all is well

Don

It's an AMD RX560, the kernel firmware drivers call it a Polaris 11.

Do you have any problems with suspend and resume?

I'm an old guy with bad eyes. I use a giant monitor with a desktop and never suspend.
Sorry

I also have an RX 560 in my system I too installed 4.9.19 and had to wait for the firmware to be updated to be able to use the kernel. Good thing it was less than a day before the problem was fixed, but if they updated the firmwares before they included the patches to the kernel it would of been nice.

No such luck here with the vega 64.
Had to downgrade to 4.19.8 and firmware from october.
4.19.9 hangs after gaming a while. If I update to the december firmware package 4.19.9 just hangs immediately at boot.

RX 560 (POLARIS11) here too. No issues after firmware update. Suspend/resume also works, on -current 4.19.9.
