Linux Journal - Best Distro of 2018

Another subjective "vote for the best distro" thing:

Yet another meaningless poll...

Moreover you need a Google+ account to vote...

Thanks, but no, thanks.

Agree with the meaningless poll, but I was able to vote, and I don't have a G+ account.

I could vote, but using FF and I did not enter any G+ credentials.

But the poll is just a page-filler. You cannot ask users for their best distro. Everyone considers the distro he uses most as the best distro. That is the sole reason he uses that distro most. My son runs Arch and Antergos, my wife Mint and I do Debian. So guess what I voted for.

I don't quite understand this - best in what context? Ubuntu is best for getting new users involved in Linux, Debian is great for promoting the ethic of free software. Gentoo is best for building everything from scratch, etc. It doesn't even give a year [though one would assume it's for 2017]. But it doesn't say that, it just says 'best distro'.

Meh.
