Linux Complete + Advanced Reference

I was about to purchase the Linux Complete Reference, as well as the Linux Advanced Reference in slackware.com, however after reading about the books, i noticed that the first is published in 2001.

Do you know if there is an updated version of the book? or are there any of the same (if not other better) books that are more up to date, which you would recommend?

Cheers,

One of the amazing things about Linux in general,
and Slack in particular, is that changes usually aren't
dramatic. The "interface" (an ASCII file) for bind configuration
or dhcpd.conf isn't likely to have undergone too much
of a change in 2 years for the book to become pointless.

Unlike MS products (you need a new cert with every
version :}) Linux is quite conservative, therefor the
book is almost guaranteed to still be good value :)

Every once and a while I still look at my 5 year old
SuSE book for some configuration tasks ;)

Cheers,
Tink
