Linux Command Source Codes

hello everyone, this is my first post. I am looking for the source code to common linux commands such as "ls, netstat, ifconfig, md5" such that I can view the sourcecode and recompile with "relative" ease. If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd appreciate it!

Take a look at the GNU ftp site, you'll need to download the fileutils package to get the likes of ls. I think that netstat and ifconfig are probably in the netutils package but I'm not sure if this is a GNU offering or somewere else. Have a google for both.

The primary GNU ftp site is ftp://ftp.gnu.org/ but you'll get far better results using your local mirror.

cheers

Jamie...
