Linux Audio driver for SBx00 Azalia

Greetings,

I looking for a specific driver for this hardware: 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia

I have google for this driver but i did not find any downloads for that.
Can any one guide me where can i download this driver or if anyone is using this soundcard and has successfully install the specific driver for that hard ware.

I been already using the alasa to config the sound but i like to use the specific driver for the set up

Thanks

See this thread, which explains getting that sound card working (near the bottom). I have two replies in that thread that might help. Search /usr/src/linux-2.6.24.5/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt (assuming you're using Slackware 12.1) for "snd-hda-intel" for all of the possible options you can pass to the model option.

hi thanks.

The thread link which you provide does not have any thing about the sound card, or did i miss it?

Thanks

It looks like it does though, see post 23 up til 30 in the post T3slider linked. Then look in the kernel documentation file he stated and see if you find a line that might fit your machine.
