To me, Linux represents freedom of choice and open source.....When I checked out Lindows, I didn't like the click-n-run setup. Just seemed a bit too proprietary for my tastes.....But after reading through some of these comments, I would have to agree that anything to get the install-n-run mentality to try something different than that Redmond-based OS, I'm all for it. At least it gives them more to choose from - which is what it all boils down too, freedom of choice.

PS: As for Lindows being buggy, well that other OS has it's share of bugs and holes and such, which doesn't seem to faze their market share

I dont have an optinion I guess. i know nothing about it. (i.e. that whole running slackware & FBSD thing).
Im more of a DIY person myself with computers, music, fixing stuff etc.
I suppose I could pay some cash for a distro to setup a system for me to work with win apps, or I could just d/l some ISO's n wine source, make a few donations here n there, feel warm n fuzzy, and set all that up myself.
