Limit bandwith on interface

How to limit bandwith on eth1 which is the internal link or the Green zone interface. But I would like to limit bandwith only going from the Red zone, to the Green zone and the other way around.
So I would not like to limit the bandwidth going from the Green zone(Local Area) to the server it self, but only "that bandwidth" that is being routed out to the internet over ppp0 interface. And of course limit the bandwidth coming from the internet and being routed to the Green zone.

I've read something about CBQ, but as I understand this limits a certain protocol, but I would like to limit the whole bandwidth no mather the protocol.

You need a classfull Queuing Discipline with HTB qdisc as a parent. There's also a 'cookbook' which is full of examples. To say truth, I do not remember how to split the traffic to different classes depending on a subnet criteria.
