LILO vs GRUB

This is a pretty basic question... if I am using grub instead of lilo, can I delete the lilo.conf file? because I would rather be using grub and I have ran into issues when updating my kernel that lilo starts up instead of grub.

IF you don't use LILO as your default bootmanager you can delete/move/rename/leave untouched/etc. your /etc/lilo.conf. It is just a text file and your system does not need it when using grub as bootmanager.
