Hi folks,
I have installed Slackware64 14.1 in my HP ENVY notebook, which came with a Windows 7 Professional Edition. In the beginning, I had to shrink the Windows partition. so the hard disk could store the Linux partitions. However, after the installation, I reboot the notebook and I am having problems to boot the system, since I am gettin the error message after BIOS screen:
Code:
LILO - Keytable read/checksum error
I remember that during the installation, the Slackware installer had identified a EFI System and managed to install ELILO instead of LILO. I have never seen it before, but I tried to install and now I am getting that error message.
I also remember that I partitioned the hard disk using cgdisk (in the first time, I was allowed to use the cfdisk, but now, slackware installation just allows me to use cgdisk) as shown here:
Code:
1000 Kb - free disk space
/dev/sda1 - 50 MB - Windows boot information
/dev/sda2 - 498 GB - Windows OS
/dev/sda3 - 100MB - EFI system
256 Kb - free disk space
/dev/sda4 - 8 GB - Linux Swap
/dev/sda5 - 480 GB - Linux OS (83)
What can I do now? I am a noob...
THanks,
