LILO help...

I just installed a new kernel and I added a new sentry in lilo.conf. I proceeded to run "lilo" as root but when I performed a reboot my new entry wasn't there. My LILO boot manager is installed on my second hard disk (the slave) and when I ran "lilo" it gave me this message:

Code:
Warning: /dev/hdb5 is not on the first disk
Added Windows *
Added Linux
Added slackOld
Also, my computer boots to the old version of Linux (2.4.26) and not the new one. How can I fix this? Thanks.

do you normally boot win/lin with lilo ?
if so , you've gotto install lilo in the mbr of the first hd ( hda ).

Also if LILO gives any other output than the Added lines, then something went wrong and lilo has not been configured properly and thus is not installed. That is why your entry was not shown.
