Lilo/boot questions

To boot into a X logon, (runlevel 4) I edit the xinittab. I know that much, I just don't what I add/change.

Upgrading lilo is a good or bad thing?

How would I get a speical lilo GUI type thing. I got this GIMP addon script thing that would create/help create these eye candy things for lilo.
(lilo-splash-1.1.tar.gz)

5 is usually the default for X. You need to change the initdefault line.

In my opinion - pointless "unless" it is to resolve a problem or fix a security flaw.

So put id:4:initdefault: instead of id:3:initdefault:
