I use mutt and msmtp to send mail. I have a slackware 12 box. I used
patches slackware 12 to upgrade some packages for 12. Since I did that I
get this error from msmtp when try to send mail. "error while loading
shared libraries libgnutls.so.13 cannot open shared object file. No such
file or directory.

gnutls -1.6.2-i486-1 was upgraded using the patch gnutls-2.6.2-i486-1.
There is a /home/usr/lib/libgnutls.so.12 installed but no
libgnutls.so.13. Should I reinstall the version that was present before
the patch ? Everything worked ok before patching. I am assuming this
gnutls program is the problem. Anyone have advice ?

Rebuild msmtp. Plan to rebuild anything that links gnutls every time it's updated for any reason. It might not *always* be necessary, but as a general rule, it's not ABI stable.
