Lightbulb LCD Brightness on laptop

Maybe I'll get some kind of answer here.

I have a Gateway Solo 1450 laptop.

Slackware 10.2/2.6.15 (Config available here), running KDE (All default install, no 'current')
Intel i830 xorg.conf available here

ACPI active, no APM (Not supported by this hardware)

I need to brighten my backlight. In Windows, the 'Brightness' control worked, but not in KDE (This thing is WAY too dim to see outside in Slackware)

Any ideas?

Just figured (after I posted the other one, unfortunately) that I would rather have a Slackware specific solution, and so this would be the best forum to post to.

Getting answers for Redhat/Mepis/God-knows-what is a little too fustrating....lol

Sorry 'bout that.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
