Latest update

SOLVED
Hi everyone, i just upgraded to the latest packages showed in the changelog last time i did it was february first and everything was fine except printing alway failed with the message "Stopped filter failed". Now i still have that problem and also firefox doesn't work, thunderbird either both stopping writing "/usr/bin/progname: No such file or directory". Is there something wrong with the latest updates or is my system going berzerk???

just found out it's the same with python

Both /usr/bin/firefox and /usr/bin/python are symbolic links to programs stored elsewhere. I don't know about Thunderbird but as it's also part of the Mozilla family, it may be accessed by a link too like Firefox. I suspect that your update broke those links.

First thought with something like this is you accidentally installed 32bit packages on a 64bit system or vice versa. Can you verify your system's architecture and make sure you installed the right versions of those packages?

Exactly, my first thought as well. 'No such file or directory' in this case means that dynamic linker could not be found.
