Hey fellow Slackers
This is my first post after many years of lurking - I have learned a lot from many of you in silence, and now ask for some direct help.
Thanks to those on this forum that "stay a-while and listen".
I am wondering about the latest sudo security updates on the official slackware site.
This is the second time I've come across the situation where the links to the official patches seem to be behind reality - for example the links to new sudo packages for Slack 11 (and other versions too) here:
http://slackware.com/security/viewer...ecurity.603062
...don't work because the FTP archive seems to have moved on to later versions (-3), and of course the listed MD5 hash is obsolete because of this.
I've run into this before in the last few months for another package (though I've know forgotten what that was).
What does this mean in terms of Pat's release process? Is it simply a mistake or something I should get used to when multiple small fixes are made to a package?
