Laptop with no floppy drive, pure CD boot?

Is there any way to boot Slackware from purely a CD?

Everytime he tries to install Lilo it never works.

My friends laptop doesn't have a floppy drive and I checked his BIOS settings and he can't boot from a USB either.

Is there anyway that he can boot completely from a CD? If so, how?

If you boot from the first installation CD, there are instructions for how to boot into the system using the kernel on the CD.

So the problem is mainly lilo?
Are you installing Lilo to the Root superblock or to the MBR? You might want to try the MBR if you havent. (I find mbr easier.)
What errors does he get when he installs lilo or what happens?

Sounds like a lilo issue; I never had much luck with lilo until I started installing it on the MBR -- it just works, no bootdisk.

Yeah I told him to save it to the MBR and that didn't work so after that I told him to save it to the root super block to see if that worked but that didn't work either so yeah it is definately a problem with Lilo.
