you are using software gl acceleration: you will have to set the intel diver, not vesa in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf: there's a line
Code:
    Driver "vesa"
that you have to change with
Code:
    Driver "i810"
(backup the file first). then check all is ok with
Code:
glxinfo | grep render
btw, your graphics adapter, Intel GMA X3100 it's probably too slow even with the correct driver and dri to play that, tried it myself in the past.

you can try also with i915.

I doubt you can change the integrated device on your notebook.

if it doesn't work I suggest you to ask also on backtrack forums.

Are you actually running X as root, or are you using sudo or su to become the root user? Please show us your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file and the output of 'LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo' (as whichever user is actually running X).

Sorry, but nothing appeared when I used

--------------------------------------------------------------------
slax ~ # cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo
--------------------------------------------------------------------

or when I open that file with my editor and search it (ctrl+F). I ran it as root.

I think he was meaning the output of the command
Code:
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo
not
Code:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo

Yes 'LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo' and your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file are two separate things.

just curiosity: at which resolution is playable with that hardware on slackware-13.0?

I remember it a little bit sluggish even at 640x480

-current xorg/kernel/intel drivers should behave better, I think, they're doing a good job on a gma450 (not tried et, it's my work's netbook ;P ).

Sorry, I've just replied it right now, ponce..

I don't know what you mean with your question above. But, I use 1024x800 resolution and it's sluggish enough for me. But, I thought it's caused of KDE4.. I and my friends said that KDE4 is sluggish and too bad to be used, though I still use it. ^^

no, it's not a kde problem, it's the hardware: over the years I learned that if I want a cool et experience I have to choose nvidia.
