Angry Kyocera Printer Linux Driver

Hi! I upgraded to 12 just right now, unfortunately the upgrade comes with a new multi-function printer/copier. A Kyocera FS-1016MFP. I searched cups and looked for a driver for this printer but unfortunately I couldn't come up with any. Luckily, I found one here

http://openprinting.org/show_driver....era-FS-1016MFP

but i don't know how to use this in slack 12.0. I have no idea how to compile this (and use it).

can anyone help? thanks in advance.

looking at the page it lacks the install info as well. I did download the foo2kyo-0.1.0a.tar.bz2 driver from there. Extracted and run the ' make ' command . Once it completes then run ' make install '. I did not run that portion. Next restart cups server. And then login to cups server from a web browser at http://127.0.0.1;631 and then configure the printer. I am guessing is that is all you have to do.

look a bit further in the Makefile and it copies the generated .ppd file into cups area. So my guess it should be ready to go on a restart of the cups services.
