Exclamation kword problem in slackware 9.1


i have used kword in redhat 9.0 it works fine
it can open *.doc file about 300 pages
it fails about 800 page *.doc


but in slackware 9.1 kword fails to open only 30 pages *.doc file
what can i do (file is okey)

is there any way to open it with kword

something's wrong KOffice

Well, kword failed to open many files, as well as other Koffice aplications...
I don't really know a way to solve that problem, I even downloaded the last version of KOffice but still doesn't work, so my advice if for you to download OpenOffice HERE, I did that and it's running fine!

One tjomg O realise about ms doc file is that it needs to be writeable in order to be open properly by openoffice.

Usually, when we copy file from NTFS drive, it is read-only file permission.
