Kompilig 2.5.75

Hi I've tried to compile the kernel, but i stuck with this message after trying to "make":
Code:
Building modules, stage 2.
scripts/Makefile.modpost:17: *** Uh-oh, you have stale module entries. You messed with SUBDIRS,
scripts/Makefile.modpost:18: do not complain if something goes wrong.
MODPOST
CC drivers/net/dummy.mod.o
LD [M] drivers/net/dummy.ko
What I did was:
unpack the new kernel to /usr/src/linux-2.5.75
symlinked it to /usr/src/linux
make mrproper, make dep was not necessary then I did make bzImage next tried to make. But I stuck. What I wanted to next was: make install, make modules and make modules_install but I could not! What do I have to do to not get this message!

1. 2.6-test1 is out, so don't bother with 2.5.75
2. I did make mrproper, make menuconfig, make bzImage modules modules_install. This worked fine.
