klettres and ktuberling

These packages were removed more than 2 years ago due too big packages (due to OGG/Vorbis audio included in them, about 45MB each) and limited appeal.

I think these packages are useful for children (to learn alphabet and to stimulate fantasy), and they are the only 2 packages missing from the official KDE repository.

For ktuberling, audio is not necessary, so we can also remove it, or create a specific audio package to be put in "extra".

What about to re-include these packages?

P.S.: kde building scripts are already ok, the 2 packages were not removed from the list

I think even for "kid games", the ktuberling and klettres games have limited appeal and target audience. I don't miss them on my machines.

If you do miss them and want them back, you can use the kde.SlackBuild script to build and install them again, with not too much effort.

You'd need a copy of the kde slackbuild source directory, eg: https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackw...ource/kde/kde/

Then get the sources for ktuberling and klettres from kde and put them both in the src/applications sub-directory of the kde slackbuild directory.

Older sources, 15.0 vintage, are here: https://kde.org/info/releases-21.12.1/

Newer version, -current as of today: https://kde.org/info/releases-22.12.0/

Then run the kde.SlackBuild, which will build (and install) both packages.
Code:

./kde.SlackBuild applications:klettres,ktuberling
I point out both source versions because the newer klettres didnt build when I tested it on 15.0 system. ymmv

At least then you can scratch your "Potato Guy" itch ;)
