I install Slackware 10 and I tried toconfigurate the keyboard and the mouse.
My Keyboard it`s portuguese, so I edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and in:
# Core keyboard's InputDevice section

I put this

# These are the default XKB settings for X.Org
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "pt"

For mouse in:
# Core Pointer's InputDevice section

I put this:

Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

But, neither keyboard stay with portuguese layout nor mouse it`s able to scrool.
It worked in slackware 9.1...
What is the problem now?
Who can hel me?

The mouse already words but the keyboard no works in portuguese layout

It may be usefull to set up the kayboard switcher in your desktop environment: GNOME or KDE.

I use KDE + russian layout, so I added a RU layout in the Control Center > ...

You sould see a flag with EN, US or BR or whatever the layout you choose next to the clock.

I don't know why the xorg configuration don't change my keyboard, but I just configurate in a grafical way lique this:
I clicked on Desktop in:
StartHere/Desktop/Preferences/Keyboard/Layouts
and works
