Keyboard Hang up on Dell 8250 install
Hello everyone,
I am trying to install Slackware 9 on my Dell 8250, I am having problems though in the very begining of the install, I am using a wireless keyboard via USB, I saw that there is a different kernel for USB support on hxxp://yyy.cr.postgresql.org/Unix/Linux/Slackware/slackware-8.1-iso/, however I do know this is for 8.1, I would think that the same kernel would be there for 9, I have looked all over my Slackware 9 disc for a refrence to "usb.i/ bare.i + USB keyboard/mouse support" but to no avail . Could someone point me in the right direction on this? I would appreciate it. |
bare.i supports USB keyboard and mouse... I know for certain because I used it (before compiling my own custom kernel) :)

Okay well I tried a different keyboard and still am unable to get on with the install, the beginning part where it asks you about keyboard mapping I try to hit enter to get on with the default setup but nothing happens, the keyboard is dead (same with both keyboards) I can't even Ctrl-Alt-Del. Could this be a bios issue?
I've looked at the bios but don't see anything applicable. |
