kernel modules clean up

Hi all,
having compiled and tried quite a few kernels to get my laptop's touchpad to work, I've been manually deleting these kernels from /boot, their sources in /usr/src, as well as their corresponding module directories under /lib/modules. Is this correct or is there a proper way to uninstall the kernel modules in particular, which are installed by the Makefile?
Thanks.

You are correct. Just delete the module directory for the corresponding kernel version.
