kernel compile - make errors
Everytime I try and compile a kernel I always get make errors during the compile process.
Its stops with make errors and a whole lot of stuff that makes no sense. Anyway I just type make again and it continues from where it stopped. Is that ok? To just type make again? Or will i end up with a corrupted system? Guess ill find out pretty soon anyway. |

That make no sense for you, but for other the errors message can help to find where the problem is. Could you post some errors, also what kernel do you try to compile ? |
Yeh i probably should of copied them down. However I just continued with make.
It seems to have booted up fine. I'm in gnome now and no problems. Running kernel 2.6.8.1 fingers crossed its all fine. :) I downloaded one of those current iso's from slackware.no, installed it, and then compiled the latest kernel. |
Running kernel 2.6.8.1
Don't expect to success in burning audio CDs with this version, for this reason I stay with 2.6.7 |
I can live with out that if that is the only problem?

Maybe you should check your memory using memtest or simular tool.
