Yeah, the sources for the 2.6.27 should stay right there with the others -the versions will just keep incrementing -even when other new versions of later kernel are out.
There is an additional benefit to using these kernels -several major distros have based recent releases on the 2.6.27 series, so they will finding and fixing security holes for a couple of years. This means that there are more people watching things and contributing fixes to Adrian's tree.
